Just Fry Them Together! Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry

You can eat a lot of vegetables by frying with beef. It's a dish that'll keep you strong despite the summer heat. You only need to stir fry the ingredients together. It's easy. It goes well with sake and is also great with a bowl of rice.

Ingredients: 2-3 generous servings

Thinly sliced beef
200 g
Onion
1/2
Carrot
3 cm
Eggplant
2
Shimeji mushrooms
1/2-1 bag
★ Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
★ Sake
2 tablespoons
★ Mirin
1 tablespoon
★ Oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
★Powdered chicken stock
1 teaspoon
★ Grated ginger
1 teaspoon
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Combine all the ★ ingredients.
2. Cut the vegetables and meat into bite-sized pieces. This time, I halved the vegetables before thinly slicing them.
3. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil (not included) over medium heat. Add the meat and cook for a few minutes. When the meat is no longer pink, add the vegetables.
4. When the vegetables are cooked, add the combined ★ ingredients and toss to coat. Drizzle in the sesame oil and you're done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I was chosen as a recipe tester for Suntory brand's umeshu.
I wanted to come up with a recipe that would also go well with sake and while working well as a main dish.
