Natto Cheese Rice

Natto Cheese Rice

You're sure to get hooked on this if you like natto and cheese!
I feel guilty posting this recipe, since it's so easy to make!

Ingredients: 1 large serving

Cooked rice (regular or frozen)
as much as you like
1 pack
Mixed cheese (melting type)
as needed
Soy sauce
to taste


1. Spread a small amount of oil in a frying pan. Place the natto in the pan.
2. Now add the rice. (I use a large amount as pictured, since I usually want to eat tons. Feel free to adjust the amount to taste.)
3. After the natto and rice is well combined, drizzle in the soy sauce. (Also add the accompanying sauce from the natto package.)
4. When the soy sauce is well blended, add the cheese. If you add as much cheese as shown, the result will become quite rich. Adjust to your liking.

Story Behind this Recipe

I ate this at a restaurant once, and it was so surprisingly tasty. This is my take to recreate the dish.
It's actually the first meal that I cooked after moving to live on my own.
(Well, you can't really call it a 'meal'...)
