Chicken Piccata for Bento

It's healthy and delicious. These chicken tenders are cheap to make and cooked with flavors everyone will love. Good for a side dish in a bento (lunch box)!! Or for a side dish with dinner!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken tenders
5-6
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Plain flour
1-1.5 tablespoons
Egg
1
Ketchup, Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
1 tablespoon each
Vegetable oil
for frying

Steps

1. Remove the tendons from the chicken tenders.
2. Cut diagonally into bite size pieces. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Put the chicken in a plastic bag and dust with flour.
4. Then add the eggs. Massage the bag to mix.
5. Heat a generous amount of oil and fry the chicken.
6. When browned, flip and fry the other side. When it's done, remove it from the pan.
7. Here's the cooked chicken piccata.
8. Add the ketchup and sauce and mix.
9. All done!
10. If you're not putting it in a bento, put the chicken from Step 7 on a dish and serve with sauce.
11. (Note:) For anyone who doesn't feel like taking each piece of chicken out of the pan to mix with the sauce, you can just add the sauce directly to the pan in Step 6.

Story Behind this Recipe

I make this often for bento. I modified a chicken recipe we eat at my parents' house by cutting the chicken into bite size pieces fit for bento.
