I use this dressing on vegetables as well as as a sauce for low-fat fish and meat. Since it's heated through there's no harsh raw onion taste, and small children can eat it too!
I made an all-purpose sauce or dressing using new harvest sweet onions.
No hints in particular, except to skim off the scum when it comes to a boil. I also have a recipe blog with lots of cooking hints.
