Chikuwa Rolls in a Teriyaki Sauce

This is perfect to pack in your bento.

Ingredients: 4 rolls

2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
○Soy sauce
2 1/2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
Sesame seeds
a small amount
Vegetable oil
about 3 tablespoons


1. Cut the chikuwa in half lengthwise. Roll up the halves and and skewer two rolls on each toothpick.
2. Put the katakuriko and the rolled chikuwa in a plastic bag. Shake to coat the chikuwa.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan and pan fry the chikuwa. Wipe the oil from pan, add the ○ ingredients, and when the sauce is glossy, sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish.

I usually make this stuffed with quail eggs, but I wondered if it would be good made just with chikuwa and tried it out!
