Flounder Meunière

I used seasonal flounder and made this foolproof meunière. Enjoy an easy restaurant style dish at home!

Ingredients: Serves 5

Flounder fillets
5 half fillets, 50 g each
Plain flour
as needed
Salt and pepper
to taste
40 g
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
as desired
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons


1. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the flounder fillets.
2. Coat the fillets in the flour, and thoroughly cook in a frying pan with butter and olive oil.
3. Drizzle over a sauce made with the soy sauce and lemon, and garnish with a lemon to finish. Serve with some accompaniments to add color.

I made this because I wanted to eat a tasty dish of flounder...
I chose to use flounder from Aomori prefecture.
