Yogurt Carrot Waffles

These are simple, slightly orange-colored waffles that you make simply by mixing and baking.♪ Make them for breakfast.♪ They don't taste carroty! Maybe you won't even notice that there's carrot in them!?

Ingredients: 4 or 5 waffles

50 g (1/2 of a small carrot)
Cake flour
100 g
Sugar (cane sugar or a similar unrefined sugar is recommended)
30 g
Baking powder
5 g
a pinch
100 ml
Plain yogurt (non-sweetened)
50 g
Unsalted butter
20 g


1. Grate the carrot with the skin still on. Melt the butter either in the microwave or a hot water bath and set aside.
2. Mix the cake flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl well.
3. Add the milk, yogurt, and egg to the bowl, then mix it well in a round motion.
4. Add the grated carrot and melted butter and mix well.
5. Heat a waffle maker and grease it with butter (not included in the ingredients list), then pour the batter on the iron and grill the waffles.
6. Put the waffles on a plate and top them with butter or honey. All done!♪

Story Behind this Recipe

Because I didn't have any bread for breakfast, I quickly whipped these waffles up. I wanted to make healthy waffles, so I added carrot and yogurt. I created easy-to-eat waffles with no carrot smell to them.♪
