Orange French Toast

How about this French toast for a weekend breakfast? The scent of orange is very refreshing.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Sliced bread
1 slice (from a 5-slice loaf, about 2.5 cm thick)
Freshly squeezed orange juice
From 1/2 an orange, about 50 ml
1 to 2 tablespoons
15 g
Powdered sugar
To taste
Mint leaves
As garnish


1. Squeeze out about 50 ml of orange juice, including some pulp.
2. Mix the egg and sugar together, add the orange juice and mix some more.
3. Cut the bread into bite sized pieces, and soak in the liquid from Step 2.
4. Melt the butter in a heated frying pan and pan-fry the bread.
5. When the bread is browned, it's done. Put on a serving plate, sprinkle some powdered sugar over it through a tea strainer, and garnish with mint leaves.
