Furaibo Style ~ Chicken Tofu Burgers

I love the chicken wings from Furaibo, a famous Nagoya-based restaurant chain! So I made tofu burgers flavored like their seasoned wings! They go well with rice!


Firm tofu
1 block
Ground chicken
150 g
1 tablespoon
3 tablespoons
Shiso leaves
5 leaves
For the sauce:
●Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
●Grated garlic
1 to 2 teaspoons
90 ml
Katakuriko slurry
as needed
To finish:
Black pepper, sesame seeds
to taste


1. Drain the tofu (See Recipe ID: 1055694 for an easy way to drain tofu).
2. Combine the drained tofu, chicken, egg, miso, katakuriko, and chopped shiso leaves and mix well.
3. Form the mixture into patties, and pan fry with oil on both sides.
4. Combine all the ● seasonings for the sauce.
5. Add the combined ● ingredients to the pan with the burgers and coat them. Thicken with katakuriko dissolved in water.
6. Transfer to serving plates, and sprinkle pepper and sesame seeds (I recommend a generous amount of pepper).
