Put the ★ ingredients in a bowl and mix well with a whisk. Pour into silicone cups, and steam in a steamer for about 20 minutes (over low heat).
If you don't have a steamer, you can cook them in a frying pan filled with water! Don't forget the lid. You can flavor half of them differently if you like.
Make the piggy face parts out of sausage. Cut the nostrils of the snout out with a straw.
Dot the sausage pieces with mayonnaise to prevent them from sliding off.
Put the facial features on the steamed bread. Add sesame seeds for the eyes, and they're done.
Story Behind this Recipe
I saw a meat bao (steamed bun) with a pig face at the supermarket. I thought that it would be easy to make as a steamed bread, so tried it out. It's not a pork bun, but it's guaranteed to be a hit with the kids.
I don't really have any hints, but the steaming time will vary depending on how strong the heat is, so check the bread for doneness by sticking a bamboo skewer. This is easy to make, and children love it! Chop up the leftover sausage from cutting the shapes out and mix into omelets and so on!
