Tamagoyaki Japanese Omelets with Mayonnaise and Sweet Chili Sauce

Tamagoyaki with sweet chili sauce and mayonnaise. The spiciness of the sauce will be reduced, so you can enjoy its subtle sweetness. Fluffy and tender to the mayonnaise.

Ingredients: 3 tamagoyaki

Egg
1
Sweet chilli sauce
2 teapoons
Mayonnaise
1 teaspoon
Vegetable oil
As needed

Steps

1. Crack eggs into a bowl. Add the mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce. Beat the eggs and mix well.
2. Heat some oil in a tamagoyaki pan (egg fryer). Pour in half of the egg mixture. Stir in circles with a chopstick to make it light and fluffy.
3. Roll it up from the far-side. Roll again as you add the rest of the egg mixture. Slice into thirds to serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I love the combination of sweet chili sauce and mayonnaise.
Because it's so well-flavored, I thought it would be perfect to make tamagoyaki for bentos. That's how I came up with this recipe.
