Easy in a Bread Maker Heart-shaped Doughnuts

These are easily done in a bread maker. The second rising only takes 15 minutes! Kids love these heart-shaped doughnuts.

Ingredients

Strong bread flour
240 g
Cake flour
60 g
(Or 300 g of French bread flour)
Sugar
30 g
Salt
4 g
Butter
45g
Baking powder
6 g
Dry yeast
6 g
Egg (whole)
1 (50 g)
Milk
145 g
Total amount of egg + milk = 195g (ml)
Granulated sugar...as needed

Steps

1. Put the ingredients in the bread maker, set it to bread dough mode, and switch it on!
2. Punch down the dough, divide it into 10 pieces and form neatly into balls. Let them sit for 10 minutes.
3. Press the balls flat in your palms one by one to around 9 cm.
4. Use a cookie cutter to cut out a heart shape in the centre.
5. The second rising (35-40℃) takes 15 minutes!
6. After the rising, fry them in oil at 170℃, coat with granulated sugar, and they're done.

I took a recipe I learned at baking class, adjusted the amounts to suit my bread maker, and cut out a heart shape in the centre.
