Layer the puff pastry, press into a pie pan, then poke several holes in the sheets with a fork. Briefly cook the new potatoes in the microwave. Preheat the oven to 190℃.
Chop all the ingredients into 1 cm lengths. Briefly stir-fry the onions and bacon in a frying pan and add the potatoes. Mix in the consomme powder, salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
When ingredients from Step 2 are cooled off, fill the pie crust. Combine the ingredients marked with a ○ into a bowl and pour into the pie crust. Sprinkle on some cheese and bake for 35 minutes at 190℃, then serve.
Story Behind this Recipe
I had some cream to use up and wanted to eat German potatoes, so I made this quiche version.
The potatoes should still be hard after cooking in the microwave. Be careful not to burn them when frying.
The bacon fat will melt, so there's no need to use oil.
※ The melting cheese is optional. (The photo shows it without cheese.)
