Leaving a few centimeters of the stems, cut the rest of the stems off of the turnips. Thinly peel the turnips with a peeler. If they are fresh, then you do not have to peel them. Thoroughly wash the dirt off of them.
Cut them lengthwise into fourths. Put the butter in a frying pan and stir-fry the turnips. Add the soy sauce and lemon juice and cook until they are golden brown.
Story Behind this Recipe
I made this because I got my hands on some delicious, fresh turnips.
・For those who prefer the refreshing flavor of lemon, you can omit the soy sauce. Adjust the flavorings to your liking. ・Properly wash the stems of the turnips, since they generally have dirt down inside. If you somehow just can't get all of the dirt off of them, cut them into fourths and then wash them one more time. Then, they should be clean.
