For Packed Lunches: Tamagoyaki with Seaweed and Chikuwa

The texture of the chikuwa and the umami from the nori are perfect together.
It's a hearty side dish with just one egg.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Egg

Chikuwa

Shredded nori seaweed
a pinch
Mentsuyu (concentrate)
1/2 teaspoon
(Vegetable oil)
to taste

Steps

1. Cut the chikuwa vertically into 4 pieces and then into 5 mm squares.
2. Mix all the ingredients.
3. In a heated pan with oil, pour the egg mixture from Step 2.
4. Roll into an omelet, cover with a lid, and steam for 2-3 minutes.
5. Another method is to microwave on a plate for 30 seconds until the insides are cooked.
