Potatoes Topped With Beef

A delicious combination of potatoes boiled in salted water topped with sweet-savory beef. Please try these as drinking appetizers.

Ingredients: 6 pieces

3 medium
Thinly sliced beef
100 g
Vegetable oil for stir frying
2 teaspoons
2 teaspoons
2 teaspoons
☆Soy sauce
2 teaspoons
☆Salt and pepper
a small amount
White sesame seeds
to taste
Red chili pepper powder
to taste


1. Wash the unpeeled potatoes well, cut in half, and boil in salted water until a bamboo skewer goes through a piece easily.
2. Heat oil in a pan and stir fry the beef. When the meat changes color, add the ☆ ingredients, and continue stir frying until there's almost no liquid left in the pan.
3. Lay the cooked potato slices on a plate, and top with the meat. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chili pepper powder, and serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had a dish like this at an izakaya (Japanese gastropub) and I thought it looked delicious. (I wanted to eat it but I was already full...) I remembered it and wanted to eat it, so I just made something that looks like what I saw. I just guessed about the flavor.
