Konnyaku Stir-Fried with Lemon Butter and Soy Sauce

Konnyaku with lemon!? you might wonder, but it really tastes good combined with the other ingredients. It's a rich yet light tasting konnyaku dish.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Konnyaku
1
Butter
10 g
☆ Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
☆ Mirin
1 tablespoon
☆ Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
Thinly sliced green onion
a small amount

Steps

1. Score the surface of the konnyaku in a crisscross pattern. Boil the konnyaku for about 3 minutes, and drain.
2. Pan fry the konnyaku in butter slowly.
3. Lower the heat a little and add the ☆ ingredients to the pan. Simmer until there's almost no moisture in the pan. Shake the pan so that the flavoring ingredients get distributed evenly.
4. Sprinkle with the green onion to finish.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to come up with a new recipe for konnyaku. I usually give it a Japanese flavor, so I tried giving it a western-type seasoning this time.
