Ground Pork and Hijiki Seaweed Chinese-style Mixed Rice

You just fry the ingredients and mix it in with rice. This is a Chinese-style dish with oyster sauce and Weipa.

Ingredients: 2 bowls of rice

Hijiki seaweed
10g
Ground pork
150g
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
☆Oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
☆Soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon
Weipa or Chinese flavoring
2 teaspoons
Cooked rice
2 bowls
Edamame (if available)
as much as desired

Steps

1. Soak the hijiki seaweed in plenty of water for about 15-20 minutes.
2. Heat sesame oil in a pan, and fry the ground pork together with the ingredients from Step 1. Add the ingredients marked with ☆ after the ground pork has changed color, and cook until the juices have mostly evaporated.
3. Add edamame and the ingredients from Step 2 into the rice and mix together.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to eat rice with hijiki seaweed, so I made this simple mixed rice dish. Hijiki seaweed goes well with the Chinese seasoning.
