Kishimen Noodles with Pork Lots of Garlic

Kishimen Noodles with Pork Lots of Garlic

Ready in less than 10 minutes! The combination of pork belly and garlic really whets your appetite! My husband loves it so it's a favorite weekend lunch dish!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Kishimen noodles (flat udon noodles) (boiled)
2 packs
Thinly sliced pork belly
80 g (5 to 6 slices)
Japanese leek
1 clove
Mentsuyu + water
600 ml, diluted for use as pour-over sauce

1. Slice the leek on the diagonal. Cut up the pork into easy to eat pieces. Grate the garlic.
2. Put the mentsuyu diluted with water in a pan and bring to a boil. Add the leek, pork and garlic.
3. When the leeks have softened, add the boiled kishimen noodles and simmer, following package instructions. Done!

Story Behind this Recipe

When I added my garlic, which my husband loves, to meaty udon noodles, which I love, the result was terrific. I used kishimen noodles rather than udon noodles since I like them.
