Crush the garlic with the flat of a knife. Bring the sake to a boil to evaporate the alcohol. Add the soy sauce, and garlic, then bring to a boil. Let it cool down.
Bring the chicken wings to room temperature. Put the chicken wings in the soy sauce mixture, and massage well. Marinate for 8 minutes while flipping occasionally. Transfer into a sieve.
Preheat the oven to 250℃. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and arrange the chicken wings.
Bake in the oven for 5 minutes at 250℃. Turn up the temperature to 300℃, and bake for 3 minutes, then done. Adjust the baking time to suit your oven.
Serve with cold beer!
Story Behind this Recipe
●You can check out my blog here (in Japanese): http://ameblo.jp/cooking-s-papa/entry-11228913540.html
●If you marinate the chicken wings too long, they will become salty, so please check the time. ●Marinating time differs depending on your preference, but the suggested time is 8-10 minutes. ●If you prefer a strong garlic flavour, grate the garlic. ●If the maximum temperature of the oven is 250℃, bake for 5 minutes on each side.
