Tender Tandoori-Flavored Chicken Stir Fry

The fattiness of the chicken is reduced by the vinegar, and the curry ups the depth of flavor! So delicious! My husband and kids all loved it.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken thigh meat
200 g
Grated onion
50 g
Grated ginger
1/2 piece
Grated garlic
1/2 clove
Yogurt (plain no-fat)
4 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
Curry powder
1/2 tablespoon
2/3 teaspoons
Cayenne pepper or red chili powder
a pinch
a pinch
Black pepper
a pinch
Vegetable oil
1/2 tablespoon
Shredded cabbage
to taste
Cherry tomatoes
if you have some


1. Cut the chicken thigh into 1cm wide strips.
2. Marinate the chicken strips in the combined A ingredients (grated onion, ginger and garlic, yogurt, vinegar, ketchup, curry powder, salt, cayenne pepper, cumin and black pepper) for half a day or overnight.
3. Heat some oil in a frying pan and pan fry the marinated chicken. Serve on top of a bed of shredded cabbage garnished with some cherry tomatoes.

Story Behind this Recipe

Using a lot of vinegar really punched up the flavor, and the meat was so tender it was amazing! My hubby loved it so much he gobbled it up in no time!!!
