Easy Sweet Potato Tart

It is very easy to make but really tasty. Please give it a try.

Ingredients: 20cm square pan or 21cm tart pan

Tart Crust:
White flour
120 g
40 g
Egg yolk
Melted butter (melted margarine)
60 g
Sweet potatoes
200 g
Heavy cream
1 pack (200 ml)
30 g


1. Combine all of the tart ingredients in a bowl.
2. With a spatula, press the mixture into the bottom of the pan and pierce small holes in the bottom to prevent the crust from puffing up. Bake for 10 minutes at 180℃.
3. Cut the sweet potatoes into 2cm cubes. Steam the potatoes with a steamer or a microwave.
4. Combine all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl and mix in the sweet potatoes. Take the crust out from the oven and pour the filling into it.
5. Bake again at 180℃ for 20 minutes. When the surface becomes golden brown, it is done .

Story Behind this Recipe

I learned this recipe from one of my mother's friends. I could not believe how easy it was to make a crust. Makes me wonder why I had such trouble making it before I met this recipe.
