Okara Steamed Cake in the Microwave

Okara Steamed Cake in the Microwave

Using okara reduces calories in baked good but makes them really satisfying! All you need is a tablespoon to measure out the ingredients! This steamed cake is moist and really chewy.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Fresh okara
3 tablespoons
Cake flour
3 tablespoons
Milk (or water)
3 tablespoons
Baking powder
1/3 tablespoons
Vegetable oil
1/2 tablespoon
1 tablespoon

1. Add all ingredients into a microwave-safe plastic container and mix.
2. Cover lightly and microwave for 2.5 minutes at 500 W.
3. So chewy and delicious! Bon appetit!
4. *Here I used 3 tablespoons of water instead of milk, and didn't use vegetable oil. *It doesn't look very different, but tastes rather dry.

Story Behind this Recipe

I was craving an easy and quick steamed cake recipe that doesn't use pancake mix! That's how I came up with this recipe. I'm so glad I used okara... normal steamed cake doesn't fill me up at all!
