Japanese-Style Loco Moco Nutritious Tofu Burgers

Since these tofu burgers are so nutritious, you can eat to your heart's content. The sauce is also super easy! It's an amazing combo of flavors!

Ingredients: 5 servings

Firm tofu
1 block
Ground chicken
300 g
Egg
1
Salt and pepper
To taste
Miso
1 tablespoon
●Mentsuyu (2x concentrate)
150 ml
● Water
100 ml
● Mirin
100 ml
● Grated garlic
1 teaspoon
Katakuriko slurry
An appropriate quantity to thicken
Eggs

Mayonnaise
To taste
Plain cooked rice
A bowlful per serving

Steps

1. Thoroughly drain excess water from tofu. For an easy method of draining excess water from tofu, refer to Recipe ID: 1055694.
2. Combine tofu, minced chicken, eggs, salt, pepper, and miso in a bowl, knead, shape into patties, then grill both sides in a frying pan.
3. To make the sauce: Put the ● ingredients into a small sauce pan, bring to a boil, then add the katakuriko dissolved in water to thicken.
4. Fry a sunny-side-up for each serving. I recommend the yolks to be soft-set.
5. Serve each dish with rice, tofu burger, a sunny-side-up, the sauce from Step 3, and mayonnaise to taste!
