Dairy Free Egg Free Tofu Gateau au Chocolat

No butter, egg, or milk! And even though it doesn't use any chocolate, the taste is rich and authentic!
It's a super easy recipe! You just have to mix together the ingredients with a spoon.

Ingredients: ★ ingredients are optional

Flour (cake, all-purpose, bread)
3/4 cup
Unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup
Baking powder
1 teaspoon
Unflavored soy milk
100 ml
Beet sugar (or raw cane sugar)
3 tablespoons
Neutral oil such as canola oil or grapeseed oil
2~3 tablespoons
a tiny amount
★ Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
★ Kirsch
1 tablespoon (when serving to adults)
★ Nuts such as walnuts, raisins, etc
as desired
Jam or something similar for a topping


1. Mix together the flour, baking powder, cocoa, beet sugar, and salt. Preheat the oven to 170℃.
2. Add the soy milk and oil and mix.
3. When the ingredients are evenly mixed, it is ready. Pour the batter into the pan. Immediately bake for about 25 minutes in an oven preheated to 170℃.
4. It's fluffy when freshly baked, but if you let it chill in the refrigerator for half a day, the flavor really sinks in. You can even store it in the freezer after slicing! You can let it defrost naturally!
5. Once the cake has cooled, I spread honey on top! Cream or jam would also be good!! I also recommend with marmalade!!
6. If you use strong flour, the batter will become chewy. You can use whatever flour you want, but it's easiest to use cake flour or all-purpose flour.
