A Kick of Spice! Chikuwa Fishcake Sticks Seasoned with Curry and Black Pepper

Eat this with beer, with somen noodles, or stuff it in your bento. The curry powder and black pepper give it a nice spice!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chikuwa

● Katakuriko
2 teaspoons
● Curry powder
1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon
● Fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon
● Water
1 or more teaspoons
Black pepper (coarsely ground)
to taste
Oil
as needed

Steps

1. Combine the ● ingredients and mix well. Add the chikuwa sticks and coat.
2. Pour about 1 cm of oil in a pan, then evenly fry the chikuwa until crisp.
3. Sprinkle with black pepper while hot. I recommend wrapping them halfway in parchment paper and munching on them as finger food.
