Low-cal Burdock Root Salad

Salads dressed with mayonnaise are high in calories right?! But this salad is low calorie, so you can eat it without feeling guilty.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Burdock root
5 cm or so
1/2 tablespoon
1/2 tablespoon
◎Ground white sesame seeds
1 teaspoon
◎Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Soy sauce (to pre-season)
1 teaspoon


1. Finely julienne the burdock root and carrot, and boil briefly. Drain and sprinkle with the pre-seasoning soy sauce while still hot.
2. Mix with the combined ◎ ingredients and the salad is done!

Story Behind this Recipe

I heard that it's a good idea to substitute half the mayonnaise in a salad with yogurt, so I did that in this recipe.
