Easy & Low-cal Steamed Bread

This is just so easy. All you need is a spoon and a bowl. You don't even need to sift the flour!

Ingredients: 2 muffin cups

Rice flour (cake flour)
4 tablespoons
Baking powder
a little
1 tablespoon
Soy milk (or milk)
4 tablespoons
Fillings of your choice
(The ones in the top photo are strawberry and chocolate chip.)


1. Measure the flour, baking powder and sugar (I used brown sugar), and mix with a measuring spoon.
2. Add the soy milk and mix well.
3. Pour half of the mixture into each muffin cup, and add fillings of your choice. The one on the left is strawberry, and the one on the right is chocolate chip.
4. Give it a mix. Use a skewer, a chopstick, the end of a spoon or just your finger!
5. Place in the steamer and steam for 12 minutes. Keep the lid on while they're steaming!

Story Behind this Recipe

My eldest son loves chocolate but hates strawberries, and my younger son loves strawberries more than anything else, so I came up with this really easy recipe that would be a compromise to their preferences.
