Cured Ham and Figs

This is a dessert-like appetizer that'll go well with wine.

Ingredients: 2-3 servings

Cured ham
8 slices
Cream cheese
100 g
Olive oil
as needed
Coarse salt
to taste
Coarsely ground black pepper
as desired


1. Peel your figs and quarter vertically.
2. Wrap slices of cured ham round the figs from Step 1.
3. Lay out the wrapped figs on a platter and position dollops of cream cheese in between.
4. Drizzle on olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Serve.

You often see salad-like dishes with cured ham and figs paired with mozzarella. I wanted to make a similar appetizer but something simpler, easier, and a little bit creamier to enjoy with wine.
