Carrot and Nagaimo Yam Potage

Adding grated yam to carrot soup gives a gentle taste in which you can sense the subtle fragrance of yam. Even kids who hate carrots will love this!

Ingredients: 2 servings

Carrot
1
Onion
1/2
Butter
10 g
Water
1 cup - 200 ml
Soup stock cube
1
Milk
1 cup (200 ml)
Nagaimo yam
2 cm (2 tablespoons of grated yam)
Salt and pepper
a small amount

Steps

1. Thinly slice the onion and carrot.
2. Melt butter in a saucepan and fry the onion and carrot.
3. Add water and soup stock and bring to the boil. Simmer over low heat until the vegetables have softened.
4. Blend it all in a mixer and then return it to the pan. Heat it up again. Add grated yam and bring it to the boil once more. Season with salt and pepper.
