Crab and Cucumber with Vinegar Sauce (Sunomono)

A refreshing and light perfect side dish.

Ingredients: 2 to 3 servings

Canned crabmeat
1 can
2 small
a small amount
* Honey
1 1/2 tablespoons
* Vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoons
* Soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon
* Roasted sesame seeds
1 teaspoon
* Ground sesame seeds
1 teaspoon


1. Slice the cucumbers thinly, sprinkle salt and mix, and leave for 5 minutes. Squeeze out excess water by wrapping it in paper towels.
2. Mix the * ingredients together to make the vinegar sauce.
3. Take the crabmeat out of the can and drain in a sieve. Rinse quickly, and squeeze out the water.
4. Put the cucumbers and crabmeat in a bowl, add the vinegar sauce and mix well. Done!

This is on many restaurant menus, but I wanted to eat it at home so I made it. Sesame seeds really makes it fragrant.
