Marinated Cucumber and Garlic in Soy Sauce

Marinated Cucumber and Garlic in Soy Sauce

This goes well with cooked white rice. It's delicious to have as a condiment for Japanese curry, too. It's so delicious, though, that you shouldn't be surprised if it disappears in a day!

Ingredients: An easy-to-make amount

1 clove
For the seasoning:
Soy sauce
5 tablespoons (75 ml)
2 tablespoons
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon

1. Cut the cucumber into 3 portions, then quarter each portion vertically. Slice the garlic thinly. Add both to the container you're going to marinate the cucumbers in.
2. Add in the seasonings, cover with cling film, and leave to chill in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
3. The photo above shows what you'll have after marinating it for 1 day.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had garlic marinade in soy sauce, so used it on some cucumbers I happened to have at home.
