Easy Stir-Fried Pork with Onion and Cheese

Easy Stir-Fried Pork with Onion and Cheese

If you have pork, onion, and cheese, then put them together and stir-fry! A quick recipe if you need one more dish.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Thinly sliced pork belly
150 g
Easy melting cheese
2 slices
Salt and pepper
to taste
Coarsely ground pepper
as needed
Vegetable oil
2 teaspoons in total

1. Julienne the onion.
2. Heat 1 teaspoon vegetable oil in a pan. Sauté the onion over medium heat. Try not to burn it. Transfer momentarily onto a dish when softened.
3. Place the pan on damp cloth to cool down slightly. Again, spread 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Spread out the meat and cook over medium heat.
4. When both sides are slightly browned, gather to the center. Top with cooked onions, then season with salt and pepper.
5. Top with cheese. Sprinkle on coarsely ground pepper. Cover the pan and grill for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. It's ready to eat when the cheese melts and the bottom is crusty.

Story Behind this Recipe

The "Pork and Cheese" that I had at an okonomiyaki restaurant was so good, so I tried to observe how they made it. I also added onions when I cooked it at home, and my family absolutely loved it!
