Aburaya's Agave Teriyaki Sauce

You can use this for meat, fish or vegetable.

Ingredients

Agave Nectar Syrup
1 cup
Soy Sauce
1 cup
Sake
1 cup
Corn Starch
1oz (1/8 cup)
Water
1oz (1/8 cup)

Steps

1. Cook sake to boil.
2. Add soy sauce and agave and cook to boil.
3. Mix corn starch and water in small bowl.
4. Add 3 into 2 slowly and stir well when 2 about to start boiling.

Story Behind this Recipe

We wanted make a healthier teriyaki sauce without corn syrup or sugar. While most recipes require mirin, we decided to use agave instead, eliminating corn syrup, and other unnatural sugars.
