Story Behind this Recipe
We wanted make a healthier teriyaki sauce without corn syrup or sugar. While most recipes require mirin, we decided to use agave instead, eliminating corn syrup, and other unnatural sugars.
Keep an eye on the pot after you add the agave, it tends to overflow when it starts to boil. We add ginger into our teriyaki sauce, garlic is also a nice addition! If agave is unattainable you can substitute it with maple syrup 1.5 is the ratio.
