Silken tofu (soft tofu)
1 block
Katakuriko or corn starch
4 tbsp.
Vegetable oil
for deep frying
Sauce
Dashi stock (use kombu for vegetarians)
1 cup
Soy sauce
2 tbsp.
Mirin
2 tbsp.
Toppings
Daikon radish
1" (2.5 cm)
Scallion (green onion)
1
Bonito flakes
optional (skip if vegetarian)
Shichimi spice
optional
