(* Please Note: In Japan we call this dish "Tofu Hambagu". To avoid misleading the vegetarian readers, I decided to simply call it chicken meatballs.)

Soft and juicy chicken meatball made with ground chicken, tofu, sweet bell peppers and tossed in teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients: 20 to 22 meatballs

Ground chicken
9 oz. (225 g)
Medium firm tofu
5 oz. (about 1/3 of a 14 oz. package)
Sweet bell peppers
1 1/2 (3 oz. or 87g)
Green onion/scalliogern
1
Ginger
1 inch, about 1 tsp. grated ginger)
Egg
1
Salt
for taste
Ground black pepper
for taste
Oil
for cooking
Teriyaki Sauce
Soy sauce
1 tbsp.
Sugar
1 tbsp.
Mirin
1 tbsp
Rice vinegar
2 tsp.
Katakuriko or corn starch
1/2 tsp.
